Book Study A gathering of woman who meet to discuss pertinent spiritual books, movies, and current events in light of the Gospel. The class is led by the Rector. Meets in the parlor of the CEB 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Thursdays
Bible Study Study alternates between a book of the Bible and/or watching a Christian based video. Meets in CEB 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Education for Ministry (EfM). We are all called to ministry through baptism Education for Ministry (EFM) is a four year study of the Bible, Christian history and theological ideas that help the individual and EFM group reflect on connecting faith with life experiences. In this way, we are offered the opportunity to discover and define our own call to ministry and service.
Seekers Class Currently examining Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians. Classes are conducted in an informal group discussion format with no advance preparation required. Everyone is invited to comment on the passage under discussion as they feel comfortable to do so. Discussions are frequently spirited but help us see the scriptures in new and exciting ways. Meets in CEB.
Lost and Found Class Lost and Found is a women’s book study class that prays together, studies together and gives support to one another. Currently studying Barbara Brown Taylor’s collection of sermons, called “Bread of Angels”. Leadership of the class rotates among the members on a voluntary basis. Meets in the Library.
Living the Questions Living the Questions class will explore a new series filmed in the Holy Land with the two Biblical scholars, Dom Crossan and Marcus Borg.The Historical Jesus and the Kingdom of God will be particularly compelling to those who visually enjoy the geography, archeology, and the history of the place and time of Jesus with the teaching of Him as the decisive revelation of God for Christians. Meets in the CEB.
