SERVICE MINISTRIES & GUILDS
Acolytes - Boys and Girls, third grade and older are invited to be participants in the
worship services.

Altar Guild - provides a wonderful opportunity to serve quietly by preparing the altar for Holy Eucharist.

St. Barnabas Columbarium, established in 1987, provides a secure place for the dignified repose of those who have gone before.

Daughters of the King is an order for women embracing a life-long program of
prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of the parish.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers take the altar into the world, sharing Holy Eucharist with all Episcopalians in the hospital, nursing homes and the homebound. Everyone who desires to share the altar is welcome!

Lay Readers, Chalice Bearers, Ushers serve an important role in the worship of St. Barnabas whether at the altar or assisting worshippers during the service.















Music at St. Barnabas - The choir practices weekly and offers a musical offering most Sundays.

The Hand Bell Choir - A newly acquired collection of handbells allows this choir to perform during worship and community events such as nursing home visits.

Reception Committee - provides receptions following funerals and other special gatherings.

St. Jerome’s Guild maintains the library as a resource for the spiritual enrichment of the parish. It includes an extensive C.S. Lewis collection, numerous volumes on a variety of spiritual disciplines as well as reference and children’s sections. The Guild is involved in ongoing library maintenance, book selection/ additions and community outreach projects. Notable projects are the Thanksgiving Potluck, Birthday card ministry and community events such as hosting C.S. Lewis teas.

St. Lydia’s Guild - assists families during weddings and funerals.
