Tim was raised in South Carolina attending the same high school as Pistol Pete Marovich. However, basketball was not to be his gift to the world despite growing to 6'5" inches tall. He took degrees in Christian Ministry and Divinity from Southern Wesleyan University near Clemson, SC, and North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL, before joining the work of L'Abri Fellowship in Western Canada. His studies have focus in Cultural Studies, Bible and Theology, and Spiritual Formation, and he has worked in management of non-profits, churches, and the hospital Pastoral Care department before joining the staff at St. Barnabas in 2025.

She then moved to Texas to continue music studies at the University of North Texas but ended up getting a Masters degree in Computer Science instead. Jose and Susan met in Denton while they were both attending UNT and married in 1984. Jose and Susan then moved to a ranch property in South Texas for eight years, but then moved to Fredericksburg to be closer to family. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. In her free time, Susan enjoys golf, camping, and word games.

  • Carol Schreider

    OFFICE ASSISTANT

Carol is a native Texan from Houston who lived 30 years in Snow Country: first Colorado and Indiana, then Minnesota. She moved to Fredericksburg in 2005 and has served as the Office Assistant at St. Barnabas since 2013. Her duties include receiving visitors and answering the phone, producing The Encourager, Sunday bulletins, worship documents, and other print pieces. She earned a BA in Classical Languages from the University of Texas at Austin, an MA in History Education from the University of Colorado, and worked as a history museum administrator in public programs and exhibits for thirty years. Her two grown children, Rudy and Suzanne, have blessed her with four grandsons, from age nine to 21 years. She is honored to be able to join such a peaceful, welcoming community even from afar. Laura lives with her husband, Trevor, and their three boys, Casey (15), Caleb (13), and Colton (9), who all keep their home nice and loud. She has a degree in English from George Mason University and experience working in communications at the parish and diocesan levels. Laura loves watching her sons play sports - especially baseball, getting to the coast whenever possible, and walking their beloved lab, Grouper. In her work, Laura tries to always focus on keeping the main thing the main thing: the love of Jesus for everyone.

  • Morey Weldon

    LAY PASTORAL MINISTER

After graduating from college with a BA in religion, Morey married Bill Weldon and earned a Bachelor's degree in Sacred Theology from Seminary of the Southwest. In the ensuing thirty years they raised two sons and Morey became a "professional" volunteer in many of Austin's non-profits. They worshipped at Good Shepherd, which expanded her opportunities to seek and serve God, reinforcing her yearning for a pastoral care ministry. With their children gown, and with Bill's support, she returned to Seminary earning a Master in Divinity focusing on pastoral care. Upon moving to Fredericksburg years later, St. Barnabas became her spiritual home. When a former rector asked her to be responsible for lay pastoral care, and Jeff asked her to continue, she knew, once again, that, "Christ opened a door for me to walk through, sending me out to do the work He has given me to do - to love and serve Him as a faithful witness of Christ our Lord."
