Maundy Thursday celebrates and commemorates the institution of the Eucharist by Jesus “on the night he was betrayed.” It also includes a ceremony of washing feet. At the end of the service, the altar is stripped and all decorative furnishings are taken from the Church. The Maundy Thursday service at St. Barnabas will be held on April 2 at 7:00 p.m.
