A Writing Workshop with Naomi Shihab Nye & Becky Crouch Patterson
Becky and Naomi will encourage exploration of writing from memory, observation, and imagination, and writing as a daily practice. Join us for inspiration, solace, and discovery. Open to all ages and level of experience. Space limited to 20 participants. Please bring notebooks and pens. Cost is $50.
Becky Crouch Patterson - author, artist, designer - is a 5th generation Texan and the product of her historic Stieler Hill Ranch and pioneer family Hondo and Shatzie Crouch. She is a multi-media artist having designed western boots, hats, clothing. As a liturgical artist for 40 years she’s made many stained glass windows and church furnishings, including the windows and kneelers at St Barnabas. Her 3 Texanna collectible memoirs are Hondo My Father, (endorsed by James Michener), The Ranch That was Us (foreword by Willie Nelson), Luckenbach Texas Center of the Universe ( award for 1860s stories). She is the first woman to have a solo show at Museum of Western Art in Kerrville .
